Documentary Screening: Sun, Steel & Spray – A History Of the Victoria Falls bridge

Alliance e  and the Old Mutual Theatre hosted The “Sun, Steel and Spray: A History Of The Victoria Falls Bridgedocumentary that we worked on closely with the Victoria Falls Bridge Company.

The documentary showcases how this massive steel structure was built in the heart of Africa in 1904, and how it was all part of
Cecil John Rhode’s plan to get Africa connected with one railroad. If you haven’t seen the clip before there’s a short
preview version.
The guests in the theatre were pleasantly surprised by the bits of humor, the depths of detail and the high quality of the documentary. Here’s a few shots from the night.
Thanks to Charles at Alliance Francaise and all who came. Stay tuned for all of our new videos, events and short films.
